Andrés Neuman

Biography

Andrés Neuman was born in Buenos Aires in 1977. His parents were both musicians, his mother a violinist and his father an oboe-player. At age fourteen, he moved to Granada in Spain where he finished his studies, reading Hispanic philology at university, and where he still lives. His early work was in poetry and the short story, before he started writing novels. He had considerable success with his novel El viajero del siglo (Traveller of the Century) and was included on the Bogota 39 list and the Best of Young Spanish-Language Novelists.
