Marina Warner

Biography

Marina Warner was born in London in 1946. Her mother was Italian and her father an English bookseller. She went to school in Cairo, Brussels and England and then read French and Italian at Oxford University. Much of her writing has concerned feminism and myth, though she has also written several novels. She is currently Professor in the Department of Literature, Film and Theatre Studies at the University of Essex.
