Almudena Grandes

Biography

Almudena Grandes was born in Madrid in 1960. At the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, she studied geography and history and then worked in the publishing industry in various capacities. Her first work – Las edades de Lulú (The Ages of Lulu) – had considerable commercial success, won a prize for erotic fiction and was made into a film. She died in 2021.
