Biography
Michal Viewegh, was born in 1962 in Prague. His father was a chemical engineer and his mother is a lawyer. Initially he worked in a glass factory.
He then, studied economics but then switched toCzech pedagogy at Charles University in Prague. He started publishing short stories while he was still studying and continued when he became a teacher in an elementary school.He started publishing short stories while he was still studying and continued when he became a teacher in an elementary school. He He soon left the education profession and became an editor and then a full-time writer. He suffered but survived an aortic rupture. He has gone on to become the most successful Czech writer in terms of sales and his books have been translated into many languages. Two of them have been translated into English.
