Hassouna Mosbahi

Biography

Hassouna Mosbahi was born in 1950 in Dhehibat, Kairouan to a Bedouin family. He studied French at Tunis University. After suffering persecution at the hands of the Bourguiba government, he emigrated to Munich in 1985, only returning in 2004. He has written novels and short stories and also translated many works from French into Arabic. Two of his novels have been translated into English and several of his works have been translated into French and German.
