Mohamed Toihiri

Biography

Mohamed Toihiri was born in 1955 in Mitsoudjé. He studied in France, where he took four academic degrees. He has worked as a teacher both in France and the Comoros as well as contributing to Comoran newspapers. He was director general for higher education, before taking up a teaching post at the University of Michigan. In 2007 he was appointed Permanent Representative to the United Nations for Comoros, a post he held till 2012.
