Filomena Embaló

Biography

Filomena Embaló was born in Angola in 1956. Her parents were from Cape Verde. She moved to Guinea-Bissau in 1975, where she has lived ever since. She studied economics in France. She worked as a civil servant in Guinea-Bissau, both at home and abroad. She has written one novel, poetry and book of stories, none of which have been translated into English.
