Rodrigo Fresán

Biography

Rodrigo Fresán was born in Buenos Aires in 1963. He worked as a journalist from a young age, writing about food, music, cinema and literature. His first book spent six months on the Argentinian best-seller list. He played in the rock group Morfi & Vinacho (link in Spanish). In 1999 he moved to Barcelona, where he is the editor for the Roja & Negra series of crime novels published by Random House-Mondadori. He has translated various US authors, including Carson McCullers and Denis Johnson. He has published novels and short stories.
