Luisa Valenzuela

Biography

Luisa Valenzuela was born in Buenos Aires in 1938. She started her career as a journalist and then moved first to France and then the United States. Her writing, which has been critical of the Argentinian government, often tends towards the surreal and farcical as she criticises the Argentinian military governments of the 70s and 80s.
