Adriana Lisboa

Biography

Adriana Lisboa was born in 1970 in Rio de Janeiro. She studied music at the University of Rio and became a singer and music teacher as well as a translator (translating fiction from English, French and German into Portuguese). She later took a master’s in Brazilian literature and a doctorate in comparative literature. She also spent time in Japan, France and the United States, where she currently lives (Austin). She has written novels, stories, poetry and children’s books.
