Eduardo Sánchez Rugeles

Biography

Eduardo Sánchez Rugeles was born in Caracas in 1977. He graduated from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in literature and the Universidad Central de Venezuela in philosophy. He emigrated to Spain where he got married and took two Master’s degrees. He started writing and had his first success with Blue Label/Etiqueta Azul (Blue. He went on to write several novels as well as screenplays. His El síndrome de Lisboa (The Lisbon Syndrome) was self-published through Amazon as, he said, he had difficult relationships with Spanish publishers (see this article – link in Spanish)
