Sergio Kokis
Biography
Sergio Kokis was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1944. He went to art school, before taking up philosophy. He was arrested for crimes against the State as a result of clandestine activities against the dictatorship. He moved to France, where he obtained a degree in philosophy and a Master’s in psychology from the University of Strasbourg. He then moved to Canada, where he worked as a clinical psychologist and then taught psychology. While studying psychology in Canada, he also continued his art studies. He is now a full-time writer and painter.
