Mitiarjuk Nappaaluk
Biography
Mitiarjuk Nappaaluk was born in 1937 near Kangirsujuaq, Nunavik, Quebec. She became a teacher and writer and devoted herself to preserving Inuit culture. She wrote more than twenty books, including an Inuit encyclopedia and a novel. She died in 2007.
