Laila al-Atrash
Biography
Laila al-Atrash was born in 1948 in Beit Sahour, east of Bethlehem. She has a degree in law and in Arabic literature and a diploma in French. She worked as a journalist and then as a producer and presenter of TV and radio programmes and also wrote for the theatre. She wrote novels and short stories. Two of her novels have been translated into English. She died in 2021.
