Sahar Khalifeh

Biography

Sahar Khalifeh was born in1941 in Nablus. She married at the age of thirteen and left the marriage after thirteen years. She studied at the the University of Birzeit and then won a Fulbright and went to the United States. Scholarship. She got an MA in English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. in Women’s Studies from the University of University of Iowa. She returned to Palestine where she works in women’s rights and is a full-time writer.
