Ali al-Muqrii

Biography

Ali al-Muqri was born in Ta’izz in 1966. He has worked for progressive newspapers since 2985 and published an essay on alcohol and Islam. Two of his novels have been longlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (Arab Booker). He now lives in Paris. One of his novels has been translated into English, three into French and one into Italian.
