Zayd Mutee Dammaj

Biography

Zayd Mutee Dammaj was born in 1943 in Al-Naqilain. His father was part of the movement against Imam Yahya. He was sent to Egypt to study and studied law at Cairo University, before switching to journalism. He returned to Yemen where he was involved, with his father, in the anti-Imam and anti-royalist movement. He was elected to parliament and subsequently held other political offices in Yemen. He wrote novels and stories was well as numerous articles for newspapers and magazines. He died in 2000.
