Tahmima Anam

Biography

Tahmima Anam was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 1975. Her father is the editor and publisher of Daily Star, an English-language newspaper in Bangladesh. She attended Mount Holyoke College and Harvard University, where she took a Ph. D. in social anthropology in 2005. As well as novels, she has written for various newspapers and magazines. She was named as one of Granta’s Best Young British Novelists in 2013.
