Victor Rangel-Ribeiro

Biography

Victor Rangel-Ribeiro was born in 1925 in Goa. He took a B.A. from Bombay University and then worked as a journalist and as a copy chief for the advertising agency, J Walter Thompson. He moved to the United States in 1956, where he earned an M.A. from Columbia University. He worked both as a classical music reviewer for the New York Times as well as a copy editor. He also coordinated the largest adult literacy site for Literacy Volunteers of New York City
