Tsering Döndrup
Biography
Tsering Döndrup was born in 1961 in what is traditionally known as Sokpo Dajujik (Sog po mda’ bcu gcig) , an autonomous Mongolian county of e Malho to a family of ethnically Mongolian nomadic herders. He studied at the Malho Prefecture Teacher Training School and then Tibetan language and literature at the Qinghai Nationalities Institute in Xining. He was editor in chief at the Mongolian Autonomous County Annals Editorial Office. He published stories and novels and edited independent magazines.n His novel The The Red Wind Howls ( was banned for political reasons and he was fired and his passport confiscated.
