Burhan Sönmez
Biography
Burhan Sönmez was born in Haymana in 1965 and grew up speaking Turkish and Kurdish. He was injured following a police attack and moved to Britain for treatment. He currently lives in Cambridge and Istanbul. He has written five novels, two of which have been translated into English. He has also published short stories and lectured on literature.
