Konstantin Konstantinov

Biography

:Konstantin Konstantinov was born in 1890 in Sliven. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Sofia University and moved to Paris whwere he worked in the law and met the symbolist poet Nikolai Liliev. He returned to Bulgaria and made a career as a lawyer, starting by interning for a judge.

He started writing in 1907 – poems and humorous pieces. He also translated – from the French ( Zola, Flaubert, Rolland ), German (Heine) and Russian (Russian classics and Anna Akhmatova ). His first published book was a collection of stories. He went on to publish poems, stories, novels, essays, travelogues and a memoir. He died in 1970.
