Biography

» Kateřina Tučková, was born in 1980 in Brno. and spent her childhood in the South Moravian village of Moutnice. She moved with her mother to Kuřim when she was a teenager, after her father had committed suicide.She took an academic degree in Czech language and literature. She lived in a part ofBrno known as the Bronx of Brno.
fShe became a curator of artworks, specialising in works of her own generation.

She was particularly concerned by the expulsion of German Czechs at the end of World War II. Her first novel was on this topic and she participated in the Year of Reconciliation held in the city on the topic.

She has curated art exhibitions and written on art. She is also written novels, two of which have been published in English.
