Augustin Buzura

Biography

Augustin Buzura was born in Berinţa, Copalnic-Mănăștur in 1938. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj, where he specialised in psychiatry. He practised as a psychiatrist. He initially published articles in the press but then started writing short stories and novels and soon gave up his career as a psychiatrist. He has since written short stories, novels, essays and screenplays. He died in 2017.
