Kirmen Uribe

Biography

Kirmen Uribe was born in 1957 in Ondarroa, a fishing village about an hour from Bilbao. His father was a trawlerman. He studied Basque philology at the University of the Basque Country–Gasteiz and then did post-graduate study in comparative literature at the University of Trento in Italy. His initial work was in poetry but he has since written two novels and works for children.
