Hervé Le Tellier

Biography

Hervé Le Tellier was born in Paris in 1957. He trained as a mathematician and then as a journalist. He has a doctorate in linguistics, specialising in constrained writing. He has written a variety of works – novels, poetry, stories, sketches, essay and journalism. He has been closely involved with Oulipo and written a book about them as well as contributing to other Oulipean works. He has been involved with Charlie Hebdo and Le Canard enchaîné, written for Le Monde and received numerous prizes for his work. He has also written plays, opera librettos and videos. Several of his works have been translated into English.
