Colum McCann

Biography

Colum McCann was born in 1965 in Dublin. He studied journalism at the college of Commerce in Rathmines, before becoming a journalist for the Irish Press. He is currently the Distinguished Professor of Creative Writing in the Master of Fine Arts programme at Hunter College, New York and writer-in-residence at the European Graduate School. He has written six novels and two books of short stories.
