Ginevra Bompiani

Biography

Ginevra Bompiani was born in Milan in 1939, the daughter of a well-known Italian publisher. She studied at the Sorbonne and became a professor of literature, specialising in English literature, particularly women’s literature, at the University of Siena. She also was a co-founder (along with Roberta Einaudi, another woman from a famous Italian publishing family) of the publishing company, Nottetempo.
