Germán Sierra was born in La Coruña in 1960. He obtained his MD and PhD at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He did postdoctoral research in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Brain Research Institute in UCLA. He currently teaches biochemistry and neuroscience at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He has published numerous articles and books on neuroscience, as well as writing fiction.
