Mohammed Dib: La Danse du Roi [Dance of the King]
A small group of freedom fighters, fighting for Algerian freedom. But what interests Dib is not their political struggle – we see very little of that – but the relationship between them as they make their way through Algeria. Dib is particularly interested in the relationship between Rodwan and Arfia (a woman) as they struggle to determine who they are and where (figuratively) they are going. There is no real plot, just Dib once again showing that he is one of the leading writers of his generation.
