Jordi Cussà

Biography

Jordi Cussà was born in 1961 in Berga. He spent some time away from Berga, including in Barcelona and Naples. For much of his early adult years he was a heroin addict and this is the subject of his first novel: Cavalls salvatges (Wild Horses) (his only work published in English to date). He wrote many novels after this but they were little known outside Catalonia. He also co-founded a theatre group, Anònim Teatre, for which he wrote and produced plays. He died in 2021 from a respiratory condition.
