Quim Monzó

Biography

Quim Monzó was born in Barcelona in 1952. He studied graphic design at the Escola Massana, Barcelona. He worked initially in graphic design and then script-writing for television. He then became a journalist, working as a war reporter in Vietnam, Cambodia, Northern Ireland and East Africa. He has since become a fiction writer, writing several collections of stories and three novels. He has also translated Truman Capote, Roald Dahl, Ernest Hemingway, Arthur Miller, J.D. Salinger and Mary Shelley, amongst others.
