José Luís Peixoto

Biography

José Luís Peixoto was born in 1974 in Galveias. He studied English and German at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and then taught. He has been hailed as the new Saramago, because of his use of fantasy. He isn’t. As well as novels, short stories and poetry, he has also written plays and collaborated with the Gothic band Moonspell on a joint musical/book production.
