Repetitive Beat Generation

A group of mainly Scottish writers (though some English and other writers were also included) writing in the early 1990s, who focused on the club-based ecstasy culture. In some cases they were associated with football hooliganism. They were generally highly critical of contemporary society. Many of the authors were interviewed in Steve Redhead’s book Repetitive Beat Generation. Sarah Champion‘s Disco Biscuits (disco biscuits is slang for ecstasy pill) anthologised many of the writers.
